Join Theresa in this series of weekly classes, deepening your understanding of the Chakra energy system and its importance in yoga philosophy and practice.
What are chakras?
The seven chakras are located in the spinal column regions where the energy channels in the body cross. When the chakras are fully awakened the kundalini energy or life force can move unhindered through the individual chakras to the saharara chakra creating ecstatic bliss.
During each class, you will learn more about how the individual chakras can affect your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Theresa will take you through a practical session of yoga asana looking at specific poses which help to cultivate balance in the seven different chakras.
Suitable for all levels, including beginners.
Theresa will start each class with a short visualisation and explanation of the chakra you are focusing on that week before taking you through a practical session of yoga asana looking at specific poses which help to cultivate balance in that particular chakra. The class will end with a guided meditation to balance the chakra of the week. We would encourage you to attend all the sessions if possible, but if you are not able to make all the sessions you are very welcome to drop in to the ones you can.
