Introduction to Buddhism

This series of classes spread throughout the year which will consist of monthly meet ups and talks designed to acquaint the newcomer with the basic fundamentals of Buddhism. Each talk is designed to give an introduction to the theory and practice of Buddhist teachings and how they relate to our everyday life and problems, in the modern world. We shall discuss different schools of Buddhism such as Theravada, Tibetan and Zen plus the central tenets which are core teachings across all schools.

There will be a talk, guided meditation and the opportunity for discussion and questions.

Previous knowledge or meditation practice is not required. Chairs will be provided in these sessions and no one is expected to sit on the floor. Please bring a small blanket for warmth during the winter months.
