A Six Week Mindfulness Course

We have a six week mindfulness course held on Thursday evenings starting in May. Mindfulness may be new to you, but it’s been around for 2,500 years and has been practiced by millions of people around the world. It’s a way of finding some peace in a busy life, or even letting go of anxiety and depressing thoughts.

Who is the Course For?

If you find all the varied offerings of ‘mindfulness’ to be confusing but know that it has the potential to help you, then this course is for you. Perhaps you’ve been put on the waiting list for counselling by your GP and want to get started in the meantime. Or maybe you’ve read some books or listened to podcasts and want to know more. There’s nothing quite like time spent with a knowledgable teacher to bring it all to life.

If you have never practiced mindfulness and are curious about why its getting so much attention and what it entails, this is the course for you. Equally if you have practiced mindfulness before and want to develop a regular practice or re-engage with your practice and learn new techniques, this is also the course for you.

Set over 6 weeks, Andy will teach you the basics and more on how to implement mindfulness into your life.

Mindfulness is a way of dealing with the unpredictabilities of life, of coming up with an appropriate response and reacting less irrationally as your feeling of peace increases. It’s a simple technique however can take a little practice to master, but it’s been proven to help ease the symptoms of depression as effectively as medication.

On completing this 6 week course, you can attend our regular mindfulness sitting group to join like-minded individuals in their continuing journey to coping with life’s stresses


Thursdays 7.30pm – 9.00pm from 9th May for 6 weeks with a mid-term break at St Mary’s Community Centre, TN24 9LL.
